Our Heritage

A Living Tradition

Karioska is a house of African craftsmanship, where the hand becomes language and each gesture carries the weight of heritage.

01

Matter & Memory

Born from the encounter between matter and memory.

Karioska honours ancestral rhythms of creation. Wood, clay, fibre, metal and natural materials are shaped slowly, with respect for time, for the earth and for those who give form to both.

02

The hands behind the objects

Knowledge carried from one generation to the next.

Our artisans work with techniques rooted in lineage and transmission. Through repeated gestures, raw material becomes a living presence — one that carries culture, memory and the singular trace of the hand that shaped it.

03

Beauty that is just

The human touch is part of the value.

For Karioska, beauty is inseparable from the people who create it. Working with artisan communities means recognising their expertise, supporting women and rural communities, and restoring value to craftsmanship built over generations.

“A house of quiet memory, born of the earth and the hand.”

Beyond the object

A dialogue between Africa and the world.

Karioska is not about possession alone. Each piece creates a relationship between past and present, gesture and light, tradition and contemporary interiors. More than decorative objects, they are fragments of culture made to continue living.

Support the artisans

Help craftsmanship continue its journey.

Karioska is developing a contribution programme dedicated to artisan initiatives, transmission of savoir-faire and the communities behind our pieces. Contribution options will be introduced here in a second step.

Thank you for honouring the hands, the time and the ancestral art that live within each creation.
